Not sure what is in his mouth, I guess a nut. But I was happy to get the picture since he ran off right after I took it.

Van Sought In Attempted Child Abduction
Parents On Alert
MOORESTOWN, N.J. – Moorestown police are investigating the
attempted abduction of a 12-year-old girl. It happened at
approximately 3:50 p.m. Monday when the girl got off a school bus at
S. Shirley and Beacon Avenues. This is the 3rd report of an attempted
abduction involving a dirty white van within the last five-days. Police
are asking parents to warn their children to be extra careful if they are
approached by a stranger.
In Monday’s incident a girl says she was walking south towards
Westbrook Drive when a white panel-type work van with no
windows pulled alongside her.
The vehicle was occupied by two males. The driver was
described as hispanic and bald. The passenger had a
moustache with an athletic build, say police.
The passenger asked the girl to get in the car to help look for his son.
She refused, at which point the passenger ordered her to get in the
van as he reached and tried to grab her.
The van is described as dirty, “beat up” with a crack in the
windshield, missing the driver’s side mirror and possible ladder
racks with unknown New Jersey registration.
The 12-year-old ran home and police were notified by her mother.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Moorestown Police
Criminal Investigations Division at 856-914-3046.
Last week, a white work van with a similar description pulled alongside
a 14-year-old boy in Perkasie.
The driver tried to get the boy in his van, but that boy too was able to
get away.
Police also say there was a similar report in Sellersville last
Wednesday.

I am closing the pool this week and starting on cleaning the leaves that have started falling. Fall is my favorite time of year, I enjoy the cool weather and am excited already for Halloween. The plan is to start a compost pile and have the area – 4 ft by 12 ft raised bed – prepped for the spring. This year I planted some watermelon and cucumbers but fairly late in the season.
DSC00792 We’ll have to see if they bear any fruit or if it was too late. Any suggestions for an organic backyard garden for our temperate climate here in South Jersey, please share.

Also on a side note, Perry finished up a week of sixers camp which he described alternately as awesome and torture.

Here in Cherry Hill we had some wild thunder and lightning. Luckily we didn’t lose power but I sure did wake up to a messy yard and pool. Leaves everywhere and bugs all over because the ground is so waterlogged. Once again we are hard at work, but still enjoying the summer day here in Cherry Hill New Jersey. Some pretty wild news, Michael Vick signed with the Philadelphia Eagles recently so its gonna be a wild football season. Go Eagles!

I am back in south jersey after a nice 7-8 days away. Virginia Beach sure is nice, and with the weather being nice and sunny, we spent a good amount of time in the ocean. 80 degree water, dolphins swimming right near the shore, its was awesome! Got some nice Golf in, gained about 15 lbs from all the great food and had a lot of cold brew! But, its time to get back to work and in south jersey, we are all about work work work, and fun fun fun!!! I guess, at least thats what I think today! We almost are ready for our “Artist of the Month” to go live! Actually, we did more boogie boarding than surfing but surfers were all around us too. In south jersey we see a lot of surfers over at 7th street beach in Ocean City New Jersey too. We stayed at a great hotel, the “NewCastle” right on 12th street and you walk right out onto the huge concrete boardwalk, and out onto the beach. The water must have been 80 degree’s, we spent at least 6 hours in the water each day, plus a full day at Ocean Breeze’s Water Part for some great tube rides and wave pool! My son loved it! Plus, our hotel had a nice hot tub in the room so what a great way to relax at night! I hope everyone in south jersey is doing well! We will be back soon!
