This guy can throw some smoke man! His dad went to high school for a few years in South Jersey and they now live in Arizona, when I saw this video, I was amazed, his stats are nice and he is a focused young man. I hope to see him in the Big Leagues someday!

Fall Picture Gallery

Before you know it, Autumn will be passing into Winter. So we’d like to share some photos of the season from around South Jersey. If you have any you’d like to share send them to brian@aboutsouthjersey.com and we’ll add them to the gallery which will eventually find a permanent home around here somewhere. Then we can start one for Winter…

I know fall is a great time to see the leaves changing colors and there are so many nice places to go here in South Jersey to see them. But they do bring one thing I am not a big fan of, raking them! We are lucky here in New Jersey, you can just dump them on the street and they come around with trucks and just haul them away and launch them into outerspace! But I have spoken to people from other states and they don’t do that, they have to actually bag them. If I had to bag my leaves, I would fill at least 20+ large trashbags each weekend. So I use the old tarp method, take my gas blower (yard tools must be gas! More power!) and blow them all into a pile, then rake them onto the tarp and drag it out to the curb. Its actually nice to do some yardwork but man, our area has a lot of leaves! I can rake them one day, and the next day you can’t even tell. But once its done and the trucks come to pick them up, my son and I watch as the bulldozers push them and load them onto waiting dumptrucks. We live in Cherry Hill and thats how they do them, in Haddonfield they have a giant vacuum to pick them up but my son and I enjoy watching the big trucks! I will post some pictures when they come by, probably in a few more weeks.

These kinds of stories really scare me and get me very angry too! But I wanted to post this to make people aware of this. It is from an elementary school’s website and the more people are aware of it, the better chance there is of catching these scumbags! So please let your kids know and be extra cautious!

Van Sought In Attempted Child Abduction
Parents On Alert
MOORESTOWN, N.J. – Moorestown police are investigating the
attempted abduction of a 12-year-old girl. It happened at
approximately 3:50 p.m. Monday when the girl got off a school bus at
S. Shirley and Beacon Avenues. This is the 3rd report of an attempted
abduction involving a dirty white van within the last five-days. Police
are asking parents to warn their children to be extra careful if they are
approached by a stranger.
In Monday’s incident a girl says she was walking south towards
Westbrook Drive when a white panel-type work van with no
windows pulled alongside her.
The vehicle was occupied by two males. The driver was
described as hispanic and bald. The passenger had a
moustache with an athletic build, say police.
The passenger asked the girl to get in the car to help look for his son.
She refused, at which point the passenger ordered her to get in the
van as he reached and tried to grab her.
The van is described as dirty, “beat up” with a crack in the
windshield, missing the driver’s side mirror and possible ladder
racks with unknown New Jersey registration.
The 12-year-old ran home and police were notified by her mother.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Moorestown Police
Criminal Investigations Division at 856-914-3046.
Last week, a white work van with a similar description pulled alongside
a 14-year-old boy in Perkasie.
The driver tried to get the boy in his van, but that boy too was able to
get away.
Police also say there was a similar report in Sellersville last
Wednesday.
